During pregnancy, the developing baby needs calcium to build strong bones and teeth while the pregnant mother need magnesium to promote calcium absorption and retention besides prevent muscle cramps and spasms. To ensure sufficient calcium and magnesium intake, choose calcium and magnesium-rich products or food.

5. Why is there more magnesium than calcium in Saludynam?

Magnesium promotes calcium absorption and retention (it is involved in more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body too!) Magnesium deficiency is very common in the West because magnesium is depleted in processed food. The average consumption of calcium is 800mg and the average intake of magnesium is approximately 200mg. By having higher amount of magnesium, it helps to balance the ratio back.
